I'm writing my first play!

It needs to happen, and so it is. I am expanding my writing endeavors. I now blog and write plays.

I have a feeling my play is going to turn out really random with lots of profanity and accidental insults.

Selections from the Tao Te Ching

Thirty spokes join in one hub
In its emptiness, there is the function of a vehicle
Mix clay to create a container
In its emptiness, there is the function of a container
Cut open doors and windows to create a room
In its emptiness, there is the function of a room

Therefore, that which exists is used to create benefit
That which is empty is used to create functionality

Attain the ultimate emptiness
Hold on to the truest tranquility
The myriad things are all active
I therefore watch their return

Everything flourishes; each returns to its root
Returning to the root is called tranquility
Tranquility is called returning to one's nature
Returning to one's nature is called constancy
Knowing constancy is called clarity

Not knowing constancy, one recklessly causes trouble
Knowing constancy is acceptance
Acceptance is impartiality
Impartiality is sovereign
Sovereign is Heaven
Heaven is Tao
Tao is eternal
The self is no more, without danger

End sagacity; abandon knowledge
The people benefit a hundred times

End benevolence; abandon righteousness
The people return to piety and charity

End cunning; discard profit
Bandits and thieves no longer exist

These three things are superficial and insufficient
Thus this teaching has its place:
Show plainness; hold simplicity
Reduce selfishness; decrease desires

A strong military, a tool of misfortune
All things detest it
Therefore, those who possess the Tao avoid it
Honorable gentlemen, while at home, value the left
When deploying the military, value the right

The military is a tool of misfortune
Not the tool of honorable gentlemen
When using it out of necessity
Calm detachment should be above all
Victorious but without glory
Those who glorify
Are delighting in the killing
Those who delight in killing
Cannot achieve their ambitions upon the world

Auspicious events favor the left
Inauspicious events favor the right
The lieutenant general is positioned to the left
The major general is positioned to the right
We say that they are treated as if in a funeral
Those who have been killed
Should be mourned with sadness
Victory in war should be treated as a funeral

Those who wish to take the world and control it
I see that they cannot succeed
The world is a sacred instrument
One cannot control it
The one who controls it will fail
The one who grasps it will lose

Because all things:
Either lead or follow
Either blow hot or cold
Either have strength or weakness
Either have ownership or take by force

Therefore the sage:
Eliminates extremes
Eliminates excess
Eliminates arrogance

Higher people hear of the Tao
They diligently practice it
Average people hear of the Tao
They sometimes keep it and sometimes lose it
Lower people hear of the Tao
They laugh loudly at it
If they do not laugh, it would not be the Tao

Break...hmmm

I like break?

I like not having classes. I like wearing festive scarves. I like when my dad sings christmas carols loudly to annoy my mom.

But (say in high squeaky voice)....

I'm home and it feels awkward. There should be a comma in that sentence.

I love my family, BUT (again, in hsv ((high squeaky voice)))))))) There are too many parenthesis in that clause))

My bedroom is gone, and I feel like a guest all the time. I'm a very awkward houseguest too. I'm not the kind that brings a really groovy bottle of wine with a million interesting stories to tell and a really sweet-ass (what an awful word) scar in the shape of a naked woman. IM JUST NOT THAT.

What I am is that girl that cuts her hair real short, and everyone thinks she is trying too hard to step outside the box and say a big FUCK YOU to the system, when really she just loves Bravo reality shows too much to be that fucking cool.

Well. I don't really have a point.... Nope. Not so far....

I'm listening to Coldplay, and it's soothing my soul.

Coldplay: aloe for the soul.

or for my athiests...

Coldplay: aloe for the body (not to be confused with lotion)

You know what I'm a fan of? Coldplay. You know what else? Placing

unnecessary spaces

Ok bye.

I should have stopped at the title...

I am so excited about graduating. I cannot wait to live!

AHHHH!

Life is getting real!

What I love about life is that everything that has been awful about college has kinda resolved itself this year...my senior year.. and it has made me a better, stronger, and happier person. I swear life cares about me! Things just work out so nicely!

I'm stupid emotional lately. Everything is so damn sentimental. I feel like I'm high or drunk and just love everybody. Not in the biblical sense... I'm not a whore... or a Christian. Not that Christians are whores. Oh gosh. I'm still talking...

Christians have been on my mind lately. But it is 3:44 am and nobody gives a shit so I won't bring it up.

Why am I blogging?

Sorry. I was just thinking about life and thinking about how I want everyone in the world to care about what I'm thinking. Since everyone in the world reads this blog, I just assumed I should type all this out.

I just want to dance.

And be good at baking.

And to share a condo with Coldplay.

And I want Ingrid to stop licking herself while looking at me.. It makes me feel awkward.

And a garden.

I am still talking....

Ok bye.

Am I lazy or a taoist?

You know what? I don't know.

I want people to describe me as one of the most sensuous composers ever.

I'm listening to NPR right now (I have already earned 2 white points and 4 tool points with this blog post). The NPR voice just described Beethoven as one of the most sensuous composers ever. One day I hope for NPR voice to describe me this way. Or maybe, I just want to be one of the most sensuous bloggers ever. That's more attainable.

See.. that's taoist of me. I'm going with the flow of my own river and seeking attainable joy. Or am I being lazy!?

Ok, I don't think it's lazy to not strive to be Beethoven. I mean I could do it... but I'm just not that into it. But like (worst beginning to a sentence ever) I don't have what people call "plans." Nawmean??? I don't have a 5 year play.. a 1 year plan...a 1 minute plan. I'm just kinda livin...and lovin it.

Livin and lovin- a life without "g's" (My memoir)

Honestly this is the most stress-free I've ever been. I just don't worry about things. I KNOW it will work out. As soon as I began to take on this taoist mentality, things fell into place. I found my true friends and I got healthier! Anyone who knows about my mystery illness that has plagued me for the past 4 years knows how stressful it has been on me to figure out why I've been so sick. As soon as I stopped obsessing about it, though, and really just tuned into what my body needs.. I began to really feel better. I think the hippies...know...what...they...are...talking...about. WHAT??

I mean... I've been tiptoeing the line of hippieness for the past 3.6 years but the smell of it has always kept me from completely joining the commune, ya know? But all this natural healing bidness (business) has really made me proud of my stinkyness (aka my hippieness).

Lesson for today, children, is that everyone of us has his or her own dreams, talents, hairstyles, etc. and each of us has the potential to be utterly joyful in life. The only way to really achieve this happiness, though, is to accept our gifts and abilities and see where they take us. I should not try to be Beethoven. I should not try to be Britney Spears (Who am I kidding? I am Britney). I should just try to be me and be happy with it. So far, this has really worked out. We'll see.

Life is balance.. just like a good cocktail.
Life is about drinking.
Life is about getting so drunk that you forget your mistakes.

Somewhere I got off track.

BALANCE.

Ok. Don't test on animals. That's all I ask. The rest is up to you.
But if you want advice, you know I can tell you exactly what to do with your life because I am all-knowing.
