Under Construction

The holiday break is upon us, but the Animal Rights Movement never takes a break. So.. while I work on this blog to pimp it up for you guys, you should:

  • Make sure that dogs you see outside have a secure dog home to protect them the cold and wind.
  • Eat one less meat meal a day, if you aren't yet veggie. Do it for your health, the environment, and the animals. (For more info, go to GoVeg.com)
  • Avoid buying pets at pet stores. Convince yourself and your friends to adopt from shelters.
  • Get your cat or dog spayed/neutered.
  • Consider your lifestyle. Live simply so that others may simply live.
In a week or so, I will start putting pictures that equal awesome and do not equal not awesome. Also, many writings will inspire you and your chesticles to change the world. Or maybe they will pass the time while you're bored. Sweet pete! I can't wait~

Viva para ayudar otros.

Stupid is, as stupid does.

Dont be ignorant. Educate yourself about animal testing. It affects ALL of our lives, with our medicines, shampoos, conditioners, soap, deodorant, detergents, windex, baby wipes... pretty much all products with chemicals... unless it says no animal testing. It is a sad and senseless process. We can eliminate animal testing by not buying products and forcing companies to explore alternatives. why would you NOT want to keep an animal from being tortured, especially when it is so simple.

Love your puppy.
Love all animals, not oprah.

"Veggie Tales"- Man's best friend

Hola Amigos! Sooo... the time draws near; the time you have all been dreaming of- when you can read my all-important opinion about everything!

No?

Ok.. fine. I won't opinion you to death.

So what am I going to do with this so-called, Blog?

As you can assume from the name, the blog is to focus on Veggie issues, advice, stories, and recipes, and anything else a vegetarian heart desires. It may not be as annoying as it sounds. I will try my damndest to not not not annoy you.  Here are some other things that I am not about...

"Veggie Tales" is NOT:

1) A meat-eater hate site
2) Only for vegetarians/vegans
3) Set in its ways
4) A place for veggies and non-veggies to argue and insult
5) Going to stop until animal's rights are realized!!!

I will be providing a very attractive package containing info for the veggie (recipes, veggie issues, etc), for the activist (protest opportunities, boycotts I research, and other awesome peaceful animal righteous activities), for the meat-eater (info and room to question what I support), and the blog surfer (naked pictures of me that will keep your interest). One of those may or may not be true. I invite readers to help with the small and large actions I am contributing to the movement and hopefully stir some local and global interest in Animal Rights. Everything that is blogged about in this bloggy blog blog will seek to achieve its mission statement- seen at the bottom of the page.

I encourage all to check this blog for information about local and global issues, no matter what your stance. I also encourage emails of a peaceful nature from all viewpoints. I will post any and all emails that come my way, with your permission of course.

Personally, I hate confrontation! The main motivation for creating this site is to avoid the unnecessary attacks I receive on a semi-regular basis for not eating meat. I want this site to be lighthearted and fun, when appropriate. I will not, though, avoid showing disturbing images or placing upsetting facts on this site for the sake of keeping everyone smiling. It is my belief that we must all be educated about the things that we contribute to in our lives. We should be aware that many of our clothes are made in sweatshops. We should be aware that while we feast by the fire, their is a huge homeless population in the United States. We should be aware that our diamond engagement rings likely destroyed the lives of many Africans. We should be aware that the food we eat, the clothes we wear, the products we use, the medicines we take, and the entertainment we watch is likely part of a horrible business that is "animal life." So open your mind, forget your politics, keep your money aside, and be a part of a movement that can change the lives of animals and humans alike. We are not so different as we seem.

A Finger Prick

Do your products cause suffering? This is just one of the thousands of examples of animal testing labs that thrives still today for most common deodorants, makeup, shampoos, lotions, cleanings supplies, and a plethora of other things we use everyday. Oh yes, by the way, it is not necessary to use animal testing and there are plenty of less-known companies that make products without these methods.

You need more proof? YouTube "animal testing" and get many more videos. Need more info? Google it! I will do research and post it once I get this blog worked out (after Christmas).  Until then...

Happy Christmahanakwanzakah :)
